This is just gonna be a quick entry before I go to bed! Today was a good day, first of all Pilar is still out of town and so I had THREE hours of nothing this morning and tomorrow I get to sleep in! So my school day was really short, and then after school my roomie made me lunch and we had a meeting about our program and so I got to see Maria and finally meet the infamous Pablo. I was very intimidated at first because he is a native born Spanish speaker who moved to Los Estados Unidos when he was very young so is a true bilingual. Anyways, he was really nice and lives in Albacete which is great because now I have a friend/guide there and the shopping is great! Then after the meeting a few of us went to have a coffee and the Pablo from my school was there. He usually is pretty quiet but tonight he was really talkative and it was nice getting to know him better (don't get any ideas, he's dating someone). Overall I had fun today, but I drank coffee too late so now I'm tired but sort of scared about trying to go to sleep. Interesting fact; apparently while it is a common thought that the ideal home for a goldfish is in a glass bowl this is not a fact. Like most other more expensive fish they need filtration and constant water changes and even the smallest of this full grown fish should be at least I think four to five inches long so their bowl/tank actually should be quite large, the most frequent suggestion I found was 10 gallons. Blah! Now I feel really bad for my goldfish and will most likely stop by the Chino store tomorrow to try to find something more suitable for my little friend. PS to Claire and Lucas who may have known him well, poor Anouk is no more :( he was just there at the bottom of the tank the other day and the other one kept trying to get him to move, it was the saddest thing! Anyways, I think (after doing some research) that overfeeding was the cause of death, but in my defense it was just so hard to try to feed them fairly without one overeating and the other not getting enough...
